Software for Girls

As part of our ongoing series looking at programs designed primarily for girls, SuperKids' reviewers checked out the latest in this category. Continuing a trend we've seen over the last two years, software developers are increasingly focusing on traditional, favorite girls characters.

Disney's The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea [for ages 5 and up] from Disney Interactive, leans heavily on its association with the video of the same name. Unfortunately, the result is a mediocre effort, not up to previous Disney titles.
Disney's Beauty and the Beast Magical Ballroom [for ages 5 and up] from Disney Interactive, offers a far better overall package, from problem solving activities to creativity.
