Reading Software -- The Big Picture

Reading. Students who fail to master this subject early in their school careers face daunting prospects. This month SuperKids reviewers took a look at programs that cover the ages from 3 to 12. From youngest to oldest they include:

• Reader Rabbit's Reading 6-9 [for ages 6 to 9] from The Learning Company, is a must-have program for early readers, that uses a carefully sequenced learning progression.

• Clue Finders Reading Adventures [for ages 9 to12] from The Learning Company, is a solid reading comprehension builder for older students, cast in an arcade game style program.
