SuperKids Software Awards
The Best of 2000 for
Science

Astronomy
by Compton’s Learning for ages 16 to adult

Now you don’t have to be an astronaut to travel through the space, or consult a telescope to view the night sky. Astronomy makes space exploration and investigation available to all. While it is not recommended for young children, it can be introduced to middle school students, and makes a great addition to the family reference library.

Magic School Bus Lands on Mars
by Microsoft/Scholastic for ages 6 to 10

This is a great introduction-to-Mars program for both budding space travellers, and the non-science minded child. Mars factoids are presented in a fun manner, and the inclusion of several non-violent, arcade-style games will satisfy young gamers.
