As part of our ongoing series looking at programs designed primarily for girls, SuperKids' reviewers checked out the latest in this new genre, and found an increasingly diverse collection.

The Baby-Sitters Club [ages 7 to 11] from Creative Wonders, is based on the recent film and books of the same name. A fan-club kit, an organizer, a print studio, and more.

Fairy Tale: A True Story [ages 7 to 12] from Knowledge Adventure is an activity program that cultivates reading comprehension and strengthens problem-solving and memory skills.

American Girls Premiere [ages 7 to 12] from The Learning Company, is based on the popular American Girls Collection from The Pleasant Company. Using familiar characters, users develop and produce their own plays.

Barbie Print 'n Play [5 and up] from Mattel Media, is a publishing program that creates banners, stickers, party invitations, greeting cards, stationery, postcards, envelopes, calendars and more.

Madeline's Classroom Companion Grades 1 and 2 [ages 6 to 8] from Creative Wonders, is a two disk set designed to cover the basic skills required to master the nationally recommended 1st and 2nd grade curriculum guidelines, with the help of a familar character.

Crayola Magic Wardrobe [ages 6 to 12] from IBM, is a combination of 'colorforms', paper dolls, a paint program, and a historical reference manual. Users can design and print historically correct outfits for paper dolls.
