ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Amy Markezich is a senior at Stanford University. She is double majoring in Biology and Psychology, with a focus on neurobiology, and has been nominated for a Rhodes Scholarship. This summer she is participating in research on kidney transplantation at the Stanford Medical Center. Her career goal is to pursue medicine, possibly in neurology, and she is currently applying to medical schools. Amy is also on the varsity synchronized swimming team at Stanford, and was a 1996 College All-American.
