The Learning Company Ships Zoboomafoo Creature Quest,
New CD-ROM Adventure Based on the Award-Winning PBS KIDS Series

Children play and learn with their favorite television characters and meet new animal friends

CAMBRIDGE, MA - March 29, 2002 - The Learning Company, the consumer group of Riverdeep Interactive Learning, today launched Zoboomafoo Creature Quest. Based on the Emmy award-winning PBS KIDS series, this new CD-ROM product, developed by Brighter Child Interactive, LLC, introduces early learning concepts to children in the context of a wacky animal adventure. Children will be enchanted and entertained as they join familiar television characters on a fun-filled treasure hunt. Zoboomafoo Creature Quest is available now on Windows and Macintosh for an approximate street price of $19.99.

In Zoboomafoo Creature Quest, real-life creature adventurers Martin and Chris Kratt have buried a treasure and hidden pieces to the treasure map throughout Animal Junction. Children ages three to six are invited to join Zoboomafoo, the lovable lemur, and his animal neighbors to search for the hidden treasure. Amazing animal discoveries await young children as they play fun learning games, view real-life creature videos, learn clever animal trivia, print treasure maps and sing familiar Zoboomafoo songs. Along the way, young players will earn clues that will help them piece together the magic treasure map.

Eight interactive activities focus on discovery and learning, teaching numbers, letters, patterns, shapes and colors. Children build their visual discrimination skills, hone their memory, practice listening and following instructions, apply logical reasoning, and learn to recognize animals in their habitats, in a zany and creative environment. Each skill-based activity offers three levels of play. As children complete each activity, they are rewarded with a piece of the treasure map. Printable treasure maps and interactive coloring pages complement the learning experience.

Created and hosted by Chris and Martin Kratt, this popular wildlife series was the winner of a prestigious 2001 Daytime Emmy Award. Zoboomafoo Creature Quest is being marketed by The Learning Company under an exclusive agreement they signed with Brighter Child Interactive late last year to distribute software based on three of the most promising new educational programs on PBS television -Zoboomafoo, Caillou and Jay Jay The Jet Plane.
