Joseph B. Giacquinta is co-author (with Jane Levin and Jo Anne Bauer) of the most exhaustive study ever published on educational computing at home, Beyond Technology's Promise. Published in 1993, this book lays the foundation for understanding how computers are used in the home.
Joseph B. Giacquinta is Professor of Educational Sociology in the Department of Administration, Leadership, and Technology at the School of Education at New York University. His book, Implementing Organizational Innovations (co-authored with Neal Gross and Marilyn Bernstein) has become a classic in the field of planned change.
As Director of New York University's Studies of Interactive Technology in Education (SITE) project, he focused on children's educational computing at home.
